For guests seeking sustainability when choosing their accommodation, it is often difficult to find offers that meet their expectations for sustainability from the huge amount of offers. In the hotel industry, labels that have established themselves on a national and international level offer support and orientation. In Switzerland, there have been no sustainability awards for holiday homes whatsoever– until now.
The Office of Economy and Tourism in Grisons recognises the need to promote and certify sustainability in holiday apartments and supports the project financially. After the pilot phase, the project will be extended to the whole of Switzerland. If everything runs smoothly, the holiday apartments taking part can proudly place the ibex fairstay sustainability label under their Christmas tree for Christmas 2022 and therefore be one of the Swiss pioneers in terms of sustainability.
